The form of the baking-doom |
| |
| A form must be built for the dome of the oven. I used the soil from the excavation for the foundation. You could also use damp sand or damp sawdust. The form should have the appearance of a halved pear as seen in the sketch and photographs. My baking dome has a height of 45 cm (17 3/4 inches) at the highest spot inside the oven. To keep the loam and the form soil from mixing some plastic wrap or plastic sheeting is placed over the finished form. Exact mass see sketch. |
